Instruction Policy
Tuition Fees:
Music lessons are 30 minutes of private instruction once each week.
Tuition is $94.00 per month for all instruments. Monthly tuition
fee is due on or before the 7th of each month. A $5.00 past due
charge will be added to all monthly payments not made in full by
the 7th of the month. If tuition is not paid in full by the 14th
of the month no lesson will be given until payment is made. Tuition
is non-refundable. Tuition is payable by cash, debit, or check
only. Checks are to be payable to Fairview Music.
Missed
Lessons:
All schedule changes must be made 24 hours in advance. Last minute
cancellations and "no shows" will necessitate charging
the full lesson fee for the unused time reserved for the student.
Lessons canceled without advance notice for emergency or illness
will only be rescheduled with the Instructor’s approval.
Credits or refunds will not be given for missed lessons and
current months tuition must be paid in full to schedule a make
up time.
Scheduled make up lessons missed for any reason will receive
no further make up, credit or refund. If the student drops from
the lesson program with make up lessons still pending, these
lessons will be lost.
If it is necessary to miss more than two
consecutive lessons, the student's time will not be held without
payment. If a student must cancel more than three consecutive
lessons, the student must be removed from the schedule and reenroll.
If an instructor is absent, a substitute
teacher will be scheduled. If you prefer not to take a lesson
with a substitute teacher, please notify the front desk at the
start of your lessons. In the event that we are unable to secure
a substitute, all students will be rescheduled.
Fairview Music will be closed on the following holidays- New
Year’s Day
(January 1st), Easter Sunday, Independence Day (July 4th), Thanksgiving
Day, and Christmas Day (December 25th). In addition to closed
days, lessons will not be held on the following holidays, Christmas
Eve (December 24th), and New Year’s Eve (December 31st).
All lessons that fall on these holidays will be rescheduled
in advance.
Cancellation:
Enrollment is rolling, you are assumed to be continuing into
each month unless otherwise notified. Permanent lesson cancellation
must be made 24 hours in advance. Last minute cancellations
and "no
shows" will necessitate charging the full lesson fee
for the unused time reserved for the student.
Studios
and Progress Reports:
Books, sheet music, and supplies will not be loaned out for
any reason. Music and supplies may not be taken out of
the store unless they are paid for. Young children must
be kept under adult supervision at all times. Children
are not to handle sales floor instruments without their
parent’s direct supervision.
No food, drink, or chewing gum is allowed in the studios.
All students must provide their own instruments. Instruments
are to be of professional quality and in working condition.
Fairview
Music Progress Reports will be issued about every three months.
Reports are to keep parents and students informed of their progress
and to provide instructor feedback. Reports will be sent home with
the student.
